Normandy

Walking among the countless neat rows of crosses at the American Cemetery in Normandy was an enormously humbling and moving experience. I wept openly for the heroes, most of the boys, who lie there, so far from home. How grateful I am for them, their families, and all those who have served or serve today to protect our freedoms!

I hope I was able to capture a sense of what I felt with these photos.

  1. These are lovely... so solemn, and yet not sorrowful. I think you did a wonderful job capturing (what I would imagine is) the peacefulness of the whole cemetery.
